As the Chicken Inasal meal is presented to the table, it’s easy to see why it has gained such popularity. The plate features a fresh-off-the-grill chicken quarters. The dish is well-presented and visually appealing without being overly elaborate.
The Chicken Inasal itself is tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Which I think would be a marinade, made from a blend of native spices, vinegar, and calamansi, gives the chicken a rich, savory taste with a hint of tanginess. The smoky flavor from the open flame adds a layer of depth to the dish. The chicken is not only delicious but also cooked just right, ensuring that every bite is full of flavor.
The garlic rice served alongside the chicken is a noteworthy addition to the meal. The rice is soft and fluffy, with the addition of crispy garlic bits that add a satisfying crunch. The garlic flavor is prominent but not overpowering, making it the ideal accompaniment to the chicken.
Personally I like to pair my chicken meal with an order of grilled chorizo as it reminds of the chorizo/longganisang San Pablo that I grew up with.
